464 My Email to Mark following his Father's death:
"So sorry to learn that my Uncle Charlie has passed away. Our thoughts are with you, Barbara and Tom.
He passed on the day I was celebrating my 80th.
Your Dad and Pop had a great influence on my life and have left me with many, many memories. Pop introduced me to Rifle Shooting and Rowing both sports in which he and his family in Whanganui were heavily involved. Your Great Grandfather was the New Zealand Rifle Champion in 1892 and Pop's brother Bill was selected for the NZ Four to row at the 1928 Olympics but unfortunately due to lack of finance they were no able to compete.
I have fond memories of School Holidays at 112 Paihia Road, helping with your Dad's grocery deliveries, sitting in the bike basket with the groceries piled on top of me, Tennis on Saturdays, Pub afterwards hidden away because of my age, the Billiard Room in Greenlane and many other introductions that gave me an early introduction to adult life. May he Rest in Peace.
Love to you and family."
Kruse, Charles Edgar (I00386)

465 My research to confirm the parentage of William Crumpleher of Winterborne Kingston in the County of Dorset, England (1560 - 1614) the father of Richard Crumpleher who died 1595, has reached a conclusion that differs from those included in many of the Ancestry Public Trees. The most popular of these names William's father as Thomas who died 1570. In his Will Thomas names a son Stephen and a daughter Luce thus nullifying the veracity of this entry.
To find the true relationship I have relied on the Wills of William (1614), son Richard who died 1595 and Marie Crumpelhere, the second wife of Richard who died in Winterborne Kingston 1595.
In his Will William asks that "my body be buried in the church litten of Kingston aforesaid a neere unto the place as my father was buried" Taking this to a logical conclusion reveals the burial of Richard Crumpleher, 13 January 1595, Winterborne Kingston as the only burial that meets the criterion.
William as the son of Richard is further substantiated in Marie's, Richard's wife's Will of 1595, which contains the following:
"I geve to W[illia]m Crumplehere my husband_ beste coate'. There is a strong tail at the end of 'husband', though it definitely doesn't loop, nevertheless it indicates a gentival 'es', making it 'I give to William Crumplehere my husband's best coat.' So here we have William being honoured with his father Richard's best coat.
Many thanks to a Rootsweb message by Tompkins, M.L.L.for this interpretation.
Crumpleher, Richard (I1485)

483 No Birth date can be found. DNA shows that Judith was the illegitimate daughter of Elizabeth Moss SALMON, as was her brother, Christopher Christmas BERRY, with both being Baptised "Berry" sometime after their Birth.
In both cases, their Marriage Records point to their Birth Mother being a "Salmon". In Christopher Christmas Berry's case one of his Banns Notices includes "AKA Salmon".
I have also (March 2024) found DNA evidence to verify the above.
